Non-stop Explosions. I don't think it's genre.. but it should be.

Boy/Girl Scouts?

Just wondering...

Has anyone seen the Subaru car commercial where young boys are wearing Brownie (Girl Scout) vests and participating in a Pinewood Derby?

Clearly Subaru did not get permission from Boy Scouts to use the official gear.

As a mom of a Brownie.... the commercial is just freak'n hilarious!

(I tried to find it on YouTube, but the commercial has already been pulled.)

Flashback Friday

Big Audio Dynamite (later known as Big Audio Dynamite II and Big Audio, and often abbreviated BAD) were a British musical group formed in 1984 by the ex-guitarist and singer of The Clash, Mick Jones. The group were noted for their effective mixture of varied musical styles, incorporating elements of punk rock, dance music, hip-hop, reggae, and funk. BAD's one constant throughout frequent shifts in membership and musical direction was the vocals provided by Mick Jones.




I saw this band in San Francisco too many years ago. I took BART with a friend...wore my black leather biker jacket (yes- I had one) and my Dr Martens (fake- but still cool.)

Scary huh?

Drink of the Week

Dublin Apple

2 parts Irish whiskey
1 part sour apple schnapps
2 parts cranberry juice

Shake the ingredients well over ice in a cocktail shaker, strain, and serve in a chilled martini glass. Garnish with a slice of apple.

The Sunday Hike

A nice, clear warm day brings the return of the Sunday Hike!
Today, we decide to visit Calero County Park.
It's a short 15 minute drive to the park entrance from our home.

There are a few loop options available... so we try the 2.6 mile
stretch that includes the Figueroa, Vallecito, Peña,
and Los Cerritos Trails.

It was a bit chilly and windy at the start.

We've reached the end of the trail.
Time to head home and plan another hike.

Flashback Friday

I really wanted to post a Level 42 video.... but couldn't find anything I could copy. So... you'll have to settle for Berlin. For kicks... I checked out the band's website. Apparently they are touring! Lots of County Fair venues. Sad.
