Dynasty Mansion

Or rather... a visit to Filoli!

"The Carrington mansion was actually the Filoli Estate located thirty miles south of San Francisco off Highway 280 at 86 Canada Road in Woodside, California. It was built in 1916 by William Bower Bourn, Jr., with the profits from his Empire Mine in Grass Valley, and is now operated as a museum by the National Trust for Historic Preservation."

Linn & Audrey - ready for tour of Filoli.

Look familiar to the above TV promotional piece?

See the pond?

Same pond from the TV show... Here.. Crystal gives a push!

Audrey enjoys the fall blooms, and could care less about Dynasty.

The name "Filoli" was derived from the first two letters of the three words derived from the motto "To FIGHT for a just cause, to LOVE your fellow man, and to LIVE a good life."

Mystery Spot

For almost 60 years, this attraction has been puzzling its visitors with bizarre phenomena. Apparently, there are unusual deviations in gravity, mysterious inflections of light and altering perceptions of velocity and space. The staff takes you on a tour of the property, and you can witness all sorts of mysterious phenomena. It is a great place for the kids (and the adults who love them). This attraction is open every day of the year.

Uneven children...Even children.

"I'm the king of the world!"
Spider man.
The real mystery...
What type of idiot does this to their car?

Yard Duty Tales

What your child does at lunch recess...

-Your child trades that delicious homemade sandwich to his friend for a bag of skittles.

-Your child takes that red apple (that the lunch lady made your child take) and smashes it against his head to the delight of the fools around him.

-Your child laughs at the awkward child seated to the left of him.

-Your child will grab another student's lunch box and play keep-away with it until the victim pleads for him to stop.

-Your child walks into the lunch area and dumps the entire contents of his homemade lunch into a trash can - before even taking a bite.

-Your child takes food from other students without asking.

-Your child makes farting noises while eating his PB & J.

-Your child squeezes the contents of his Caprisun juice pack all over his so-called friends.

-Your child does not drink his water bottle, he uses it as a football.

-Your child uses his plastic spoon to catapult rocks and/or food around the lunch area.

-Your child hunches over his lunch and eats like an animal.

-Your child does not eat his Go-gurt, he squirts it onto the closest tree or bush.

-Your child does not eat vegetables, stop packing them in his lunch.

-Your child is a pig who leaves his trash on the school grounds and thinks someone else will pick it up.

-Your child didn't wash his hands before he ate.

-Your child is trying desperately to impress his buddies by acting like an idiot.

Conversely -

-Your child eats by himself.

-Your child asks the yard duty if he can have a bag to pick up trash.

-Your child is upset because his friend is not talking to him today.

-Your child is polite to those around him.

-Your child throws away all his trash, and picks up a few more pieces on the way to the trash can.

-Your child invites a friend to play tag.

-Your child tells me a funny joke.

-Your child helps a friend who has fallen down and needs a band aid.

-Your child politely waits in line.

-Your child follows the school rules.

Ask yourself, "What did my child do at lunch recess today? And would I be proud of his actions..."
